Grouchos Record Store, in Dundee has been part of the jute jam and journalism city for over 40 years. The independent record store was first established in 1976 on the Perth Road.

Beginning with only £500 and a collection of records, it soon became a staple of the city. After moving around various spots in Dundee, it now resides at the Nethergate, since 1999.

Grouchos is a well-loved part of the Dundee community, as went for former owner, known to everyone as ‘Breeks’, who sadly passed away in 2019. Opening Grouchos at only 22, he provided a hub for real music and a real passion throughout the city.

Grouchos will forever be a strong part of Dundee culture.
