Next Thursday, Fife singer/songwriter, KT Tunstall will be playing a gig as part of the Royal Albert Hall sessions. The broadcast will take place from the musician’s home and will be free for all to watch.

The event will commence at 20:15 BMT after the #clapforcarers celebration, a worldwide thank you to key workers at the forefront of COVID-19.

Coronavirus has forced The Royal Albert Hall in London to close its doors, however, instead they are providing a ‘virtual’ concert experience to audiences, during this time.

KT Tunstall who first started playing gigs in St. Andrews, rose to fame with her 2005 debut album, Eye to the Telescope. It featured songs such as ‘Suddenly I See’, KT’s highest selling single in the UK, as well as ‘Other Side of the World’ which peaked at number 13.

Since then, she has gone on to release five albums including her most recent called WAX, in 2018.

Over the years, KT has received four BRIT nominations before winning British Female Solo Artist in 2006. She also received a 2007 Grammy nomination for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, for songs such as ‘Black Horse’ and ‘Cherry Tree.’

Now, KT is active on social media, regularly posting content as well as performing around the world. This year she has released, ‘Starlight and Gold – Moella Remix’ which is available to stream and download. The singer also featured it for her #KTrave, a regular live video series of dancing to music for her Instagram followers, helping to lift spirits.

If you want to catch KT Tunstall on Thursday 30th April, head on over to the Royal Albert Hall website where it will be broadcast at 20:15 BMT. Additionally, you can pay a visit now and click on ‘notify me’ for an email reminder.
