Ran by brothers, Tom and Jack Le Feuvre since 2017, is Le Freak Records situated on the Perth Road of Dundee.
They stock a variety of new and second-hand records from, techno to indie, to hip hop to soul.
Also, on offer, are a wide range of exclusive merchandise such as stickers, tote bags, t-shirts, coasters and slip mates designed by Tom, featuring their “one and only ‘Dolfindog’ logo.”
Le Freak Records are keen collaborators with local fashion brands/stores such as, ‘Cartocon’ and ‘Pieute’, “for a range of tees and even had the ‘Pieute’ crew through from Edinburgh for a pop-up shop earlier this year.”

As well as selling records, the brothers hold in store gigs, “showcasing some of the best bands (Drainpipe, Junky Fam, MC Salum, Visa Baby) and DJs from across the city and beyond which are always a hoot.”

The store have also established their own DJ collective, under the name, ‘Le Freak Friends’, which Tom reveals; “consists of 6 very good pals and myself who have thrown parties across the country in some of the best clubs around, including Sub Club (Glasgow), Cab Vol (Edinburgh), The Tunnels (Aberdeen) and the best of the lot, our Pier Party which we hold every summer in our hometown of Newport.”

Due to the outbreak of COVID 19, Le Freak Records have sadly closed its doors and have been forced to cancel their Record Store Day event, featuring, “disco legend, Al Kent”

Despite this, Tom reveals they will have “plenty more exciting things in the pipeline.” Their afterparty event will now be held on the rescheduled Record Store Day of, Saturday June 20th this year.
