Record Store Day : 'Fill the Gap'

18 April 2020
To celebrate what would have been Record Store day on this very Saturday, is a new campaign called ‘Fill the Gap.’
In the light of COVID-19 all record stores have had to close their physical doors, resulting in no in store purchases. This campaign will endeavour to help support independent record stores, encouraging those to quite literally, ‘Fill the Gap’ in their record collection by purchasing an album online.
The Official Charts website has therefore shared a map of the countless independent record stores fans can buy their ‘most wanted’ record from.
BBC 6 Music has also planned to support the #RSDFilltheGap movement by airing specifically chosen music and interviews today.
As a result, the official Record Store Day has been postponed to Saturday 20th June, with many stores planning events, special music releases and offers.
